VÉRONIQUE MALKA, B.C.L., LL.B., is the founding lawyer of Canadian Law Group.
Véronique Malka practiced law for over a decade in Ontario before moving to the U.S. and launching her practice in immigration in New Jersey in 2005. An avangarde thinker, she quickly saw a need in the USA for local Canadian legal advice. And that’s when The Canadian Law Group was formed.
Today, she leads a growing team of Canadian cross-border specialists at CLG and divides her time between New Jersey and Québec. Her work focuses on cross-border mobility needs of corporations, but she also devises creative strategies to Canada for those needing to leave the USA or other countries. She is often consulted on matters of Child abductions under the Hague Convention, known as an expert in that field. Veronique has shared her mobility views on TV and radio in Canada and the U.S.A., she presents on legal panels and at mobility conferences as far as Brazil and Prague, and has been published several times in both French and English.
Véronique is known for her keen legal instincts and quick understanding of people’s needs. She thinks outside the box, which has led her to this unique position of being a Canadian lawyer with a practice outside of Canada. What’s next for Véronique? Providing One-Stop-Shop advice for U.S. companies seeking expansion in Canada, and legal advice in the emerging global field of cannabis.
